Day 1: Dulac Bound

First off, thank you SO much to all of those who came out this morning to send us off! All of the support, prayers, and food was highly enjoyed and appreciated.

We set off at 7:15 a.m. in 7 vehicles and drove about 10 hours to Pearl, MS (a suburb of Jackson). On the way down, we all enjoyed getting to know each other better and snacking on all of the delicious treats! The trip went smoothly and we all arrived safely.

The younger kids are currently enjoying the pool and basketball court at the hotel while we wait for the pizza to arrive. The teens went looking for geocache treasures in the nearby woods, but were unfortunately unsuccessful.

We are looking forward to celebrating Palm Sunday tomorrow at Galloway Memorial UMC here in Jackson before heading out to Dulac for our final leg of the trip. Stay tuned for more on our adventures tomorrow!

  1. Julie. Thankful you are safely on your way. Our prayers are with you that you will serve as arms and legs in the body of Christ as you minister to those in need and those God places in your path. Blessings to you all.
    Love, Deb and Tim Kleveland
